Light & Background

Pohang, South Korea, 11 June 2026

Photography is essentially about framing: What to put
inside tge frame, and what to leave out. Equally important
are light and background.

The sun was shining on this rose when I passed by, and so
I tried my best to capture it. Also, I was very conscious on how
to place ti against the background.

Santa Cruz do Sul, 26 January 2026 I'm writing this on the evening of Monday, 26 January 2026. Exactly a week ago, I got so furious when taking in my usual dosis of information, that all of sudden I turned off my laptop and said to myself: That is enough, I'm not going to give my attention anymore to people I consider  power hungry, utterly vain and thoroughly nuts. It is beyond me why I've never seriously questioned my addiction to the news; that  the  fact that I'm a news junkie never really bothered me. Near Seoul Station

Seoul, 5 June 2026 Near Seoul Station, I spotted a side street that, when walking along, transported me to another time, or, more to the point, a feeling of timelessness. Shortly before becoming aware of these flowers I saw what must have been an art class engaged in attentive drawing. No sound was to be heard, only eternity seemed to be present. A rare experience!
