The artist called nature

Image
Santa Cruz do Sul, 14 February 2025 I cannot imagine an artist creating the  kind of patterns that nature is  coming up with. To me, photography is not an art, it frames art created by nature. Nature photography, that is.

A Discovery

Image
Santa Cruz do Sul, 14 February 2025 About a week ago, I came across this flower. I thought it an astonishing encounter for I come almost  daily through this part of the park without having noticed what must have been there all the time, I doesn't cease to baffle me how unaware I'm going through life. And, I'm glad that the camera helps me to make discoveries.

What the camera can see

Image
Santa Cruz do Sul, 14 February 2025 These flowers are so tiny that the naked eye will not be able to see them the way the camera lens can capture them. It is not least in this sense that the camera has taught me to see.

The art of framing

Image
Debrecen, Hungary, 25 October 2021 My fascination for photography and especially for taking pictures lies in the fact that what I eventually photograph has already been there and did not have to be  created, only framed.

On change

Image
Santa Cruz do Sul, am 15. Februar 2025 The only permanent thing is change, the Buddhists say. To know this is one thing, to surrender to it quite another. It was for the first time that I saw this flower turning green at the edges. That the flower does change is easier to accept that I myself do change.

Auf dem Weg zum Supermarkt

Image
Santa Cruz do Sul, am 15.

Image
Santa Cruz do Sul, 7.
