The little girl & the butterfly
When the two-year-old daughter of friends spotted the butterfly on the wall,
she signalled to me in no uncertain terms that she wanted to be lifted up so she
could, as I assumed, touch the butterfly. Don't touch it, I said when holding her close
to it, not sure whether she would understand what I was saying and so I formed my
lips to indicate blowing – and softly blowing at the butterfly she then did ...
