Santa Cruz do Sul, 9 February 2024 Oops is better than what if, I read one day on Tumblr, and thought it a pretty adequate description of my world view. Especially when looking at what is in front of me I do not cease to be baffled and stunned. My desire for explanations has largely left me, to simply experience what there is seems nowadays often enough.

  Dieses Bild von mir wurde 2009 von Blazena Kostolna  in Zürich aufgenommen. Wo genau wir da waren, weiss ich nicht mehr, was mich überrascht, denn meistens, wenn ich ein Foto von mir betrachte, erinnere ich mich nicht nur an den genauen Ort, sondern sehr oft auch an meine damalige Seelenlage. In diesem Falle jedoch: Keine Ahnung mehr.

Pizol, 23. November 2015 Über dem Pizol geht die Sonne auf, sagen wir. Obwohl wir, seit Galilei, wissen, dass die Sonne weder auf noch untergeht. Schon eigenartig, dass  unsere Erkenntnisse, so sie denn unsere Herzen nicht erreichen, so recht eigentlich folgenlos bleiben.

Lago Bianco, 15 June 2021 When crossing the Bernina Pass on the way from Pontresina to Tirano, you will enjoy a splendid view of Lago Bianco, a water reservoir, and its surroundings. I've done this trip various times, in winter and in summer, and it always felt special. What's more: each time it felt like it was sort of like a first. No idea as to why this is, and no desire to look for an explanation. Looking at this pic now (end of January 2024), I wonder how much longer, given the changing climate, will there be still snow in mid-June?
